A moment in time at the fair

A moment in time at the fair
AHH! I was super scared. People all around me were screaming as loud as a train's horn! My friend Beth and I were on a roller coaster at the fair. My throat was super sore from screaming very loudly. Oh no! Here comes the big loop. I locked my eyes shut and hope for the best. Finally, the cart came to the end of the roller coaster and Beth and I hopped out. I was so glad the ride was finished. I am definitely not going on a roller coaster again.

“Let’s go and get an ice-cream.” suggested Beth.

“Okay.” I agree.

After our ice-creams, we decided to have a walk around and see if there was anything else that we wanted to do before we had to go home.  A little way down the path, there was a bunch of fun games. I decided to play one where you had to try and throw a hoop over a cone and you had 10 chances to get as many points as you could. I got 7 points and I won a bubble wand while Beth got 9 points and won a cute panda stationery set.

Then we decided that we should go and get something to drink so we wandered off to a lemonade stand and found a nice place to drink our icy treats. As the sun began to sink below the horizon, Beth and I exited the fairground and started to walk the long, long, long way home.

  1. I enjoyed reading your story. I wonder what your first experience on a roller coaster will be like?

  2. Hello Natalie. I loved reading your 'moment in time at the fair' story. It is a very descriptive story, I could picture my self there and it made me remember the times that I used to go to the new years day carnival at Carolyne Bay in Timaru with my family when I was younger.
Thank you for posting this story. Keep up the good work.
